This section exists specifically for the Memory Story Helper browser extension (Chrome, Edge, Brave, Arc, Dia, Firefox) — what it does, what it reads, and where that data goes.
The extension has exactly one job: tell the Memory Story app which tab you're on, so it can label memory activity by website instead of just "Browser."
The active tab's URL, page title, and which window/tab it is — only when you switch tabs or a page finishes loading. It never reads page content, form data, passwords, or history.
Exclusively to 127.0.0.1:18765 — a server the Memory Story app runs on the same Mac. That address can't be reached from another device or the internet. If Memory Story isn't running, the extension has nowhere to send anything and does nothing.
Nothing is logged, sold, analyzed, or sent to any third party or server anywhere. Uninstalling the extension (or quitting Memory Story) stops it completely — there's no account tied to it and nothing to delete afterward.
